Vocaloid was even featured on NHK recently. Touhou will never achieve that popularity because it is only liked by a (vocal) group of autists on the internet. Deal with the fact that Vocaloid is much more popular than Touhou outside of fetish porn enthusiasts.

When I studied abroad in Japan I met a number of people at school who liked or at least knew about Vocaloid. No one knew about Touhou, however.
