Ran is stopping yuyuko from getting close to her beloved Yukari. Yuyuko is hesitant to approach because of this. Yukari is smiling, aware of the situation. Yuuka doesn't care. Kanako has no friends within that group because Byakuren spread false rumours about her and Yuugi wants to get it on with Eirin.

Take a closer look at the picture. Yuyuko is blushing and her posture doesn't bring out the idea of her rushing at all. She is blushing slightly and she has an undecisive look on her face, as if trying to find a good spot to get near Yukari. She has one of her hands near her mouth, stressing out her pondering. She is also slightly bent on her back, looking smaller and vulnerable. Then there's their gaze trajectories. Ran is looking at Yuyuko with a threatening look on her face. Yuyuko is clearly looking towards Yukari. And isn't even noticing any of this. This means she has no idea about the feelings both Ran and Yuyuko have for her. Or maybe she knows about them and plays a dominant role, letting both parties sort it out amongst themselves and enjoying the attention.

I will now track down this artist and mail him in order to prove my theory.
