Some of the artists who make stuff I like sometimes act weird. One of them is a weeb who acts like a dork, but she makes stuff I really, really like. I've seen one too many creators turn out to be fucked up in some way, so I get suspicious with unmellow behavior. Maybe I'm just being paranoid and she's just weird.
There have been one or two artists I respect beyond their art, mainly because they don't get mad when their Patreon stuff gets pirated even though I'd probably be soured by that if I was an artist.
