I actually disagree with this. I'm all for accuracy, but I'd also rather them translate the intention if the direct meaning will make no sense to the target audience. How weeb it should get depends on the setting and overall writing.

Like I was playing Mamedo no Bakeru and it's chalk full of random, often Japan-exclusive, trivia. There's literally 5 collectible trivia per stage. It's no wonder it has no localization since most the fun facts would make no sense to any other culture, and entire game and plot is based around heavy Japanese culture background knowledge.

I don't know Korean but read some translate gookshit from time to time. Frankly, I don't give a shit about the -noona, -nim whatever shit and just wish they'd omit it. It doesn't only add nothing to the experience, it removes from it.

Besides, in an ideal world there'd only be one language.
