Think if we're making that comparison, janitors on all boards in all ages and for all time to come are closer to Red Scare-era CIA. It's fairly often stuff gets removed since it *looks* NSFW.

Prime example has to be from /tg/ where a picture of a black sword wreathed in flames for removed within minutes. The thumbnail (although obviously not the full picture) had an uncanny resemblance to a badly gangrenous vulva.
