Well, that may be true for some (although not I), you have to admit that figures only got nice in the mid-00s. Before that all you had was cheap plastic shit, gachapon, and garage kits that you had to paint yourself.

Bomes were, like, the nicest pre-painted figures until Good Smile, Kotobukiya and Alter got serious. All the other manufacturers followed suit because they had to or get edged out of the market.
