Sup /jp/s, you helped me before so I'm hoping you can do it again.

I was skimming some japanese choonz recently wondering if there was anything good to be found there. You know those old jokes where the punchline is just one word with almost no setup? Gackt.

So despite being traumatized by the inherent failings of tonal languages and pop vocals, I ended up really liking..."嘘つきのパレード" or whatever that's called in english, along with those creepy ones that seem like they're poking fun at the fanbase but I can't tell because I don't speak nip.

Completely reversed my opinion on the whole vocaloid thing, though. But then I wondered- all the Engelsk vocaloids suck. I mean, it's the reason I don't use 'em. Did I mention I'm a musician? I'm a musician.

Anyhoo if I spoke the language I'd try a track using Miku, but I don't. Then, it occurred to me- you guys pay attention to their music scene to some extent, right? So you can theoretically tell me...has anyone done a collabo with western artists before using Miku/the vocaloids, or if anyone is currently saying they're taking collabos? Or does the whole xenophobia thing mean there's no way to make that work?
