Honestly they probably would've given the chinks the boot anyways, especially after the stupid ultimatum they gave them. Having holoEN as a back up helps but the were rapidly approaching the point where doing business with china just plain isn't worth dealing with the regular chimpouts.

Even at their height in China the Chinese Market amounted for less than 10% of their overall profits. And this table doesn't take into account bilibili's cut, Chinese taxes, or the other costs of doing business in China, so the actual amount of money they get from the Chinese market is probably even lower.

There is a certain point at which doing business in a market isn't worth jumping through all those hoops, and after four chimp outs from China in as many months, they point has been reached.
