Gaia is the spirit ("common sense") of Earth, and she came with Earth. Planets just have spirits in the Nasuverse.

Both are mentioned in Kagetsu Tohya in an impersonal list of the Dead Apostle Ancestors (ORT is #5), but ORT is covered in Type-Moon Character Material. Primate Murder has never been shown, but its subtitle is "the White Hound of Gaia", so most people believe it to be a great wolf or something.
