While spending an evening at home, you were a bit surprised to answer a knock at your door and find Aya there holding a bag of groceries. "Coming in" she said as she excused herself into your home, as if entering it unannounced was just a natural thing to do. You poke your head out to see if anyone noticed. "Don't worry so much, nobody noticed, and even if they did, they're not gonna assume much out of it. You eat dinner yet? I'm going to make something" Aya started to rummage through your kitchen for the utensils she needed. "You never told me you were coming over to make dinner." The tengu scoffs a bit at this as she starts to prepare her meal. "Something came up, couldn't stand being at home, I'll just be staying here tonight" Aya could be so presumptuous sometimes. "Something happened at home?" you ask as you help unpack her groceries. She sighs. "Just something with the other tengu. I didn't feel like being by myself tonight" Aya never really talked about the other tengu, and when she did it seemed like she choose her words very careful. You didn't want to pry into her private life, so you nodded your head in agreement and helped her with dinner.

When the quiet, uneventful dinner and cleanup was done, Aya sat down in your living room and pulled out a book to read. She wasn't really interested in doing anything else, so you guess she really was in a bad mood. "Aya, you need anything?" She shook her head. "I'm good, thanks anyway" Noticing you were still hanging around a minute later, she looks up from her book "Look, it's fine. Just Tengu politics, I deal with it all the time, I doubt a human would understand if I explained it." A second later, as if she realized she said. she clarifies "Ah, you know what I mean, it's all secrets and complications, I couldn't even explain it if I was allowed" Reading the air, you picked up a book of your own to read and sat down next to her, putting a hand near hers. While she was busy with her book, you could see a faint smile form on her face and her hand held onto yours.
