I had no issues with the difficulty and dying, because the game makes just a little save scumming for level ups quite possible. (newer games try to make it hard)
Also Lily is absolutely broken to the point it's not funny, if you realize how level ups and training works. Failed rolls get "saved" for the next chance, and training is capable of rolling those chances, though not every training rolls everything. So for example, even if the chance of luck increase during training is a mere 1%, if you already have 40% saved, it's 41%. As such, you should train wisely and somewhat keep track of her progression, and she becomes a beast that has zero trouble even handling the reaper solo.

But sure, it's a Eushully game. Either you save scum or you grind. Pick your poison. At least the game is fairly nice with these things. Playing Amayui hard mode and the shit you need for needed upgrades is insane... not like anyone should do that. Eushully hardmodes are awful. Still, as far as I've seen there were answers for everything in Himegari. And the game is nowhere near hard enough to need insane grind or save scumming levels either. If you completely ignore it however and have bad luck, things can get awful. One of the best things of the game, monsters of the same type sharing exp, level and stats, becomes an issue then. Otherwise it's one of your biggest strengths though.

So I've read that you can take cards from the hetare room without being a hetare in Himegari. Figured I'd get some items from the maids. I thought I might be able to grind another one of those stat rising equips I have one of. Yeah. Well. After I had 3 of them dropped within not even 10 minutes I became scared. This is the fourth one, didn't take very long either and happened while I tested after having everything I wanted. I feel like I got either insanely lucky with my drops (I also got some super good ones from lower tier items of other maids), or this room is rigged. If it would be, the wiki would've probably mentioned it though. So.. lucky? Or did everyone just recruit the maids here and never bothered with this?

Honestly, the chance for a maid card is decent and easily scumable (10% or so?), so no need to count that, but then it's a 1/4 for the right maid and 1/3 for the right item for me. My first 5 maids were 4 times the right one and they dropped 3 times the right item. Spooky. Tested a little bit and never even got a single maid drop, I wouldn't be happy about. Coincidence? I have no idea.
