Do witches get more powerful the older they are?
All of Beatrice's subwitches like Virgilia, Gaap (a demon, I know. But still) are beneath her and obviously younger too since they're her creations.
Bernkastel is miles above Beatrice in power levels, but she is completely mogged by Featherine who's in fact older than her.
Lambdadelta's origins are unclear, but it's commonly assumed that she's older than Bernkastel with her granting Takano's wish in the first place. And again, her power is somewhere inbetween Bernkastel and Featherine.
Also, Hanyuu being more powerful than Rika is obvious but still fits the pattern.

There are still people unironically defending the episode justifying it as being accurate context to lead to Satokodelta and FurudeRika Bernkastel.
And they are wrong because it doesn't match the other two characters to make the connection work out.
