My whole life I've never fit into a specific social group. The past five or six years have been great though. For what I consider most of my 'modern life' I've spent most if not all of my free time pursuing most things people would consider unconventional forms of entertainment. That's fine though - it's fine not being conventional. It's fine because I feel as though I'm part of a group now. Everytime I see someone in anime or doujinshi being made fun of for being a 'NEET', 'lolicon' or for having a '2D complex' I smile lightly to myself and think of how I relate to the person being made fun of. I feel a great sense of relief knowing I'm not the only one in this position. It gives me a great sense of relief knowing I'm simply normal in my ways when I'm indulging my interests.
