I mean "how" in that he switched to a new character each chapter, and he had about twenty characters. By the time he got back to Character A, I really didn't care anymore. And he did "What will happen to A?! Don't know, let's go see B".

And I meant writing style as in the way he writes. Hell, I gave up and moved onto Dresden Files. Modern day Chicago and wizards aren't even my cup of tea, but Butcher could probably write a cook book and make it interesting.
