Pharlund the sorceror had a good life,
free from pain, hunger, heartache or strife.
He cared not, for creatures outdoor,

and Pharlund the wizard upon himself brought
unwanted attention of demons from hell
Believe me, then, folks, it did not end well!

His power was great, with spells he attacked,
with flashes of light he sent them all back
His disciple, sighed at last in relief,
but sadly, my friends, it would be all too brief.

For Pharlund's great magic took its cruel toll
