how autistic are you to think anyone is saying collectivism is 100% without any level of individuality at all here?
Japs are chronic liars. Its literally part of being collectivist. The only reason you are mad about that being said is because of your western morality viewing that as a negative trait. When your entire morality is based on shame rather than guilt like here in the west it only makes sense that honesty has no value over saving face and fitting in.
The entire foundational structure of a society is rooted in its moral system and the west and east asia are on the opposite ends of the spectrum. When that video went viral a few months ago interviewing Japanese people about cheating and prostitutes people were mostly surprised by the lack of guilt displayed by the people being interviewed than their opinions on the cheating itself. I remember seeing a video of a Japanese hoarder and every English comment was about helping the individuals mental health and every Japanese comment was about how much of a burden this person was to everyone around them. Westerners cannot understand how anyone could commit suicide over the shame of getting caught with drugs like that Korean actor last month did or how people could be shamed into being Kamikaze pilots or how mental health isn't a thing and will never really be a thing in the East. Easterners can't understand how some of the most evil murderers and rapists get lighter sentences in the west just for displaying guilt in the court room.

And a high trust society has nothing to do with people lying about their personal lives and shit. That just means the level of order and people doing what is expected of them in society to be high enough for society to function as expected.
