Quite possible. Not sure if the Japanese referred to Ursa Major as a "bear" before recently, or went with the Chinese interpretation, though.

Although it's clearly exxagerated or metaphorical, it's not unheard of having oni accused of punching holes in the sky.

Let's not.

As said there are many variations to the theme, but one recurring theme is that oni are really only kept relatively harmless because they rarely gather for anything other than to occasionally feast. When oni gather for the sole purpose of war, it's invariably apocalyptic - a pocket sized little Ragnarök.

Oh... but there are, just turns out most of them were drunkenly lost oni way out of Japan.
Seriously, wrestle a bear? Not even Mikhail Kalashnikov routinely wrestles bears, at least not anytime recently.

The ones that weren't haven't actually been forgotten yet.

Depends which era we're talking. Oni have only been associated primarily with brute strength for about 500 years.

Pre-sengoku era, oni were considered nearly entirely mystical. Although they were associated with strength at that point as well, the idea was one of supernatural strength, not in any way mundanely physical.

Even when the character is intended to be the reader, "you" still is a distinct character. It might be an idea to introduce "you" in a way that the reader can related to, and introduce "yours" motivations and desires.

But then again, this is coming from someone who writes Sengoku Rance crack pairings, so perhaps you should seek advice elsewhere.

The scene of the crime says Suika, but the murder weapon says Yuugi.
