That's incorrect, actually; Sonozaki Futago-tachi decided to continue their translation despite MangaGamer's release. However, it fizzled out afterwards. MG's release might have been a factor in this, but progress had been going very slowly since before MG announced their Higurashi license.

Are you sure? It's been a while since I've read Meakashi, but I distinctly recall something about Shion's case being forgotten due to the Hinamizawa Gas Disaster in ep5. (No mention of it in ep2.)

OP here, taking a name as suggested, Here's a sample. There's a few for each character. And a bunch of group shots. All and all pretty nice (but its huge and it'd be one page at a time, even though a lot of them are a two page spread)
