this isn't true, someone who did core10k would do probably fine on the quiz but if he never read he'd be shit at reading

(i do not think you're memorizing the vocab from the quiz or doing it so much you memorize everything btw)

how do you guys remember the sound of a japanese word, i can often remember the meaning, but, especially for verbs, the sound is hard to remember.

Go through Lazy Kanji (1K cards)

Learn and SRS basic grammar and vocab (1K cards)
