my advice is simply to throw as much white noise at the process as possible so that it becomes almost impossible for them to disallow your claim because the more uncertainty you cause the better it goes for you.

The only exception being that you have absolutley cast-iron medical evidence from your GP or whoever that they can't ignore and if I were you in this process I'd assume anything that doesn't explicitly state you are dead in <6 months is not solid enough. (That's a bit hyperbolic but whatever)
