They're accidentally making Roa seem less and less villainous. He just seems like a cunt who got tied up in familial business rather than the despicable bastard he should be. Plus they're pushing this idea that Roa possessing someone and turning them into a vampire causes their emotions to go haywire rather than Roa himself doing it, so Ciel says "I'm the one who killed everyone" and "I enjoyed sucking blood" etc. and considers herself evil for her actions.
