This is mostly correct, but none of the moon rabbits like the Lunarians. They just work for them because they're forced to.

Whereas in LoLK, Reisen seems to actually *care* about Eirin and helping her goals. This freaks Doremy out, and she warns Reisen that her old home will seem strange and frightening to her now that she's become so earthy. Something about how Earthlings need to form bonds with others to survive, and rabbits on the moon don't.

I really liked Silent Derper in Derp. It had plenty of conflict between characters, but even in that case, you knew everything would end up fine and dandy at the end.

Plus, the official printworks are some of the few cases where I see Touhous being taken seriously as characters.

Eirin had charmed the rocket to arrive to its destination without problems. Here she's threatening to assassinate Patchy in case she knows another way to get to the Lunar Capital. If Patchy did know another way, that would mean the Moon would be exposed to an Earth attack.

Personally, this (along with all other moments of Eirin inside the SDM) is my favorite moment in almost all Touhou. It's the most actually tense and potentially dark the series has ever got, including all the games.

That's just how canon is, there are a lot of deaths in the backstories anyway. Serious doesn't automatically mean grimdark.

The only non-irredeemably-shit Touhou animu would be an animu adaptation of one of the comics. Everything else is going to fucking suck.

The only "decent' Touhou animu would be an adaptation of the official comics. You know it's true. Official Touhou dialogues may be trippy at best and idiotic at worst, but they are the most fitting ones for the characters. Everything else will be just painful (see Maikaze animu as an example).

If they absolutely had to make a Touhou animu, it should definitely be Silent Sinner in Blue with IotM&IotE shorts in between episodes.
