Is the smoke and fire bit a mistranslation? I'm genuinely confused. Shouldn't it be
>He strongly believes that there's no smoke when there's a fire
A sort of play on
>Where there's smoke there's fire
hence Rika saying
>I've learned from experience that he tends to believe my information
It doesn't make sense for Rika to say he tends to believe her if he's so distrusting as to strongly believe there's no smoke when there's no fire.
