It's not really the same, most artists like that focus on music and performance and they more or less work at their own pace. AI was and is doing a ton of stuff at the same time. Artists are also usually human, but she's a character whose setting allows for this sort of thing. If you think about it, producers would be more than happy to clone musicians and send them all over the world if the fans accepted that.
It's still bullshit and the product of bottomless greed though.

One more thing, the guys saying they want to replace her don't actually follow her; she's still active. The most recent thing she's made is an annoucement for that AR music festival thing she's part of, about an hour ago.
