Pfft Rider also had horrible luck(Specifically under Sakura,lolErank) and she technically became the winning Servant in one route. It really has basically nothing to do with Luck and more that Nasu wanted a dedicated buttmonkey and Lancer(s) just do it for him.

After all the shit the Lancer class has gotten in Fate/Zero,Carnival Phantasm and even Fate/Extra,they had better give us a playable Lancer for CCC.

Seriously as one of the Knight classes it needs a shot to redeem its goddamn self.
