God I love her. JK Rika is my favorite Higurashi character and I'm not even joking.
The happy-go-lucky friendship theme of Kai in contrast with the question arcs always bugged me and having this sweet, gentle kid turn out like this felt great.
She just didn't give a fuck about her friends after all and left Satoko, who was still trapped in her "Higurashi" mindset, behind like used sockets.
