Heh, Tewi's already won her victories that day.
She got Yuuka to project on her entirely despite the flower youkai's actions being objectively worse.
She helped Hana sort out her demons during the Hana healing.(conflict with this story, honestly not sure how to reconcile it)
She bridged the gap between the inaba and herself.
She lowkey accepted her sinkink.

Tewi is on the up and up, even if Yuuka is salty her first interactions with Anon would make red room operators blush!

The dark of the night was only held in check by the moon that hung in the sky, but despite its best efforts the floor of the bamboo forest was shrouded in darkness that only a youkai could see through. To some this forest was creepy, a stalking ground of predators and life source for youkai that relied on the moon itself, to others it was a cursed place filled with danger and whimsical beasts that are just as like to hinder than help. They were all right, they were all wrong, the forest of the lost was that and so much more.

Only one that knew the truth of this ever shifting land, a land steeped in a hidden history known only to unnamed gods that resided in everything.

That being stood alone in a clearing raked by the freezing fingers of winter, her body was sapped of its warmth and her barefeet did little to protect her from the elements. However, for a being such as her; whose watched empires rise and fall, seen ages come and go, watched mankind itself uplift itself till she sequestered herself away, this chill in the air was merely one of many and not the last to come.

This ancient being, older than almost all that still walked the earth... sneezed.

She then proceeded to complain to no one in particular, "Ahhhhh! I should never have agreed to play with those two this late at night! Don't they know I'm a delicate flower~!"

Tewi was more than a little grumpy as luck would have it, ironically. All for the most silly reason too: those two silly rabbits she adopted years ago after they were released into the wild by an ungrateful child of their recently passed caretaker, Sana and Sara.

Sana and Sara were positeiley going to get their cheeks pinched until they reddened for this. All because they wanted to play detective after they heard a rumor about the Hakurei squirt's birthday. At least it proved that luck was always on her side, as it was nothing but luck that the black and white pain-in-the-witch had come in for a routine appointment with Eirin regarding her pregnancy.

Supposedly the two girls had been helping in the natal unit as a result of the overflow from all the expectant mothers coming in for a checkup that day as well. That was when they spotted the witch there, and according to them they saw her fretting over something while she waited around for her turn. It didn't take long till they started speaking and it seemed she was thinking over the perfect gift for someone having some problems. It didn't take long for them to get the name of Hana from her lips.

Tewi could use this, if Hana was having a birthday party thrown then this would be the perfect moment to get herself closer to the girl. You needed sugar water to catch bugs after all, and Hana was the prized rhino beetle Tewi's been dreaming of. If she wanted Hana to join her family properly it take the whole family to recruit her, for that reason she got Sana and Sara to head out and find her file that Eirin undoubtedly kept tucked away. Now that the master of Eientei was asleep it'd be the perfect time for the overly eager duo to pull off the perfect heist... and insulate Tewi from any punishment...

Devilish thoughts of the perfect prank to pull at the party were cut off prematurely, by a rustling in the bushes off behind her where the animal trail from Eientei emptied out to here. Sana and Sara burst out from the brush, hair marred by what looked like leaves and sticks embedded in their hair and their dresses more than a little dirty from what seemed to be a quick flight.

Sara was the one carrying the manila file in her hands, her messy brown hair bobbed up and down as she was practically hopping in place, "Tewi-chan, Tewi-chan! We got it we got it! It was all sneak and then BAM~! BOOM~! PICHUUN~!"

As always Sara was the picture of intelligence as she and her sister scrambled up to Tewi with their eyes catching the lights and pastel dresses doing nothing to help them blend in the night. Sana eagerly spewed her words at her, "It was super fun, and super exciting! We were sneaking through the administrative area while Reisen did her paperwork and stuff, so we snuck in behind her and into the archive room!"

Sara interrupted, "And then and then we were right behind here and she almost fell asleep doing her paperwork so then we opened the drawer and got the file but then she woke up and saw us and then I tried saying it was a dream but she didn't believe me and then-"

Sana eagerly spoke up next, "So, I told Reisen-san that we really needed the file cause Eirin-sama asked for it, but then she said that 'she wasn't going to believe such an obvious lie' so-"


With an energy bubbling out of Sara Tewi noticed a redness on her cheek that didn't look like it was from the chill, "Then Rei-san shouted at us to stop when we ran like 'taptaptap' and she started firing danmaku at us but we were faster even though we got hit we didn't stop at all and-"
