False. Mugging has been around before the internet, before memes, before human civilisation as we know it. No one knows who was the first mugger, but what we do know is that people have been showing off their cool 2mugs since the dawn of time.
A lot of people assume that the Holy Grail was an ornate chalice, some people that it was an ordinary cup, but I am party to the preserved information that it was indeed a cool 2mug, but it never caught on among the Disciples and they retconned it because they were so prejudiced against Christ the Mugger.
