Following your advice I've started reading manga in Japanese. I'm trying to mine words/sentences, but how the hell do I get about that task if manga is in .jpg format? Do I just decrypt this stuff or is there some OCR program that would fit the task?

It just seems like such drudgery in comparison to means where you can hoover over the text and simply copy it.
