It's not a proper claw grip, like what Tekken players use, but more like a "ighter" or a half-arsed version of it. I've never really used Xbox pad except rarely for some less demanding games, so it might be that I'm just not accustomed to it. As far as pads go, I prefer older style controllers where the dpad is closer to the thumb, so maybe I unconsiously grip the Xbox pad in a funny way. Either way, I don't particularly care about pads and have been using an arcade stick for most 2D games for the past 15 years.
