I've heard this many times, but no one has yet to provide any real reason why.

America is a wonderful land of melting-pots where Limp Bizkit can become the mainstream face of metal (albeit for a few years) and where a couple of white people dressed up as clowns serve as the face of underground hip-hop. A former Emo singer can shave half his head and learn how to work in Ableton for a few months and suddenly become what Americans think to be the creator of Dubstep.

I honestly don't see how Babymetal wouldn't succeed in America. In fact, they're already succeeded, they were the #1 best-selling albums on itunes and on the billboard chart for how many weeks/months? The majority of their fanbase is now American/English.
