It's not that bad... if you have a Mac and iOS devices, that's it. I understand is worse for Windows.

Anyways, the integrated ID3 tag, automatic folder arrangement and iCloud made my life better, as I no longer have to worry about editing file and folder names (there are still there, if you need them) and all my music is permanently synced across all my Apple devices.

Plus, I have laundered like 75% of my VOCALOID library, getting pirated songs replaced with higher quality, original songs for 25 €. Specially relevant for older songs that I had in Joint-stereo MP3s with very strong low-pass filters.
