Well yes. The original rules had absolutely no mention of idols and they were added when you people massively forced that shit here and mods had no other place to dump it.

What are your thread filtering settings for /jp/?

I've finally given up. I've browsed 4chan since the beginning without ever systemically filtering threads in any of the boards I've frequented over the years. I believe automatical thread filtering was what originally led to the appearance of general threads, splintered board userbases, and the slowly creeping acceptance of off-topic threads in many boards. So I did my part to avoid that. Nowadays it's too late to pretend individual actions could help this site anymore and I've gone beyond caring. So. What do you people do to keep /jp/ usable? Are there any standard filter lists to keep all the nu-/jp/ content out?

Truth be told between you and /a/, millions of posts about /jp/ topics have been stolen from us by both of your boards over the years. You guys always kicking us while we're down and blatantly riding our coattails are part of why we became so dysfunctional; if you had actually stuck here the whole time then this wouldn't have been an issue clarifying these things. So just don't be faggots, leave /v/ shit in /v/ and /a/ shit in /a/. It's a new adventure for you, if you've never actually used /jp/ in earnest it's essentially like coming to a brand new board anyway. This IS /vn/. It always has been.

Not to mention, moot is making a new board that will specifically be able to support KS. No clue what it'll be, but that's what he said.. I think somewhere in the sticky on /a/, if that wasn't here.

No. Touhou is actually pretty much the only good thing about this board. If there was no Touhou here then /jp/ would be, quite literally, nothing but shitposts and one or two VN threads. There isn't enough interest in VNs in a broad spectrum to maintain sustainable traffic here. There just isn't. Idols and other more tangential shit have even less penetration. /jp/ would very much not even exist in the first place if it wasn't for Touhou.

If you don't like it then get the fuck out.
