If it has a vagina, it's definitely a futa.
If it does not have balls, it's definitely a futa.
If it has breasts, it's either a futa or a tranny (will go into my futa folder either way)
If it does not have a vagina, it may be anything.

It's perfectly possible for a futa to have balls and no vagina. It's ultimately up to the artist whether he decides to define it as a futa or not. The artist's own tags and description is the only thing I give ultimate authority to. Usually it's pretty obvious to me, but upon sorting my folder lately, I've found myself consulting pixiv quite a few times to see if I'm sorting the pictures from there correctly.
