I've heard similar things. And they are really big on the 外・中 deal - men work (and have affairs, if so desired) while women stay at home and clean, take care of the children, etc. They refuse to take part in shopping or chores because "that's a woman's job", and some even freely talk about their lovers with their wives present because it's considered acceptable.

If my husband ever tried something like that, I'd take his balls clean off.
