First of all, maybe it was lies from the beginning, but I got told ZUN didn't search to be overly rich, but just do nice things, like a true artist.
And that's why he gave to "the public" all his musical composition's rights and why you had so many touhou games made by tiers.

And I was totally admiring that, he was like a model in this fucked up society where everything revolves around money, I was like "wow, this guy is not like the others, he's a true artist who makes art because he likes it and not just for money".

I also got told he refused many contract to sell his right or sell games overseas on consoles like every commercial shit. Like "if he accepted he could have become so ridiculously rich but preferred to protect his art instead".

So I really used to respect and admire him a lot for that.

But lately, I heard this was not true, that he was actually interested by money, and that he even signed some things to make touhou games for playstation and other similar commercial shit.

And even in his late games, you feel so much that he searches money, and tries to "catch american audience" to sell more... *sigh*...
When you look at urban legend in limbo's wreck and some of the characters of th15, you really feel this so much.

I don't know where is the truth in all these things, but it really looks like "the nice ZUN" I thought he was, is not what is right...

I'd like to get your opinions on that, to say if what I said is right or to show me that it's wrong.
I'd actually like to be proved that everything I said was wrong, because I still want to believe it, because I'm one of the oldest fans of the serie and touhou has a very big place in my heart, but sadly, I really think it's the truth...
