Liked/lusted after by the general populace = all in all a slut. It's not like it's serious or anything but it's from the stigma of liking a character that it feels like everyone else likes. It then becomes awkward fapping to her because you think she's "serviced" millions of others and suddenly, that's where the connection is made. At least, this is the way that jp and futaba lean on this issue. The fact that Sanae is supposed to be a good girl makes it all the more hot to think of her as secretly a slut. It at least gives her some sort of artificial internal conflict to deal with, which makes her more interesting than she canonically is (she is honestly extremely boring normally).

If you seriously are getting angry and whiteknighting Sanae though, I shouldn't even have to explain how derp that sounds. Just roll with it, it's not like anyone's actually getting hurt out of it. Besides possibly you, in the gluteus maximus region in particular.
