what's your budget? Quest 2 is probably on sale for Black Friday but for ~200 shekels extra, you're getting much better Field of View and image quality with the Quest 3. there are non-standalone headsets too but i know even less about those
depends on what you want for your money. i went straight into the Q3 as my first experience of VR because pimax seemed overkill/too expensive and some others seemed more geared towards gaming or PCVR stuff; i knew i wanted standalone for max comfy when enjoying VR JAV in bed
