Silicone prematurely breaks as well, which is why Piper has had to reinforce the assholes on their dolls as they were splitting. Some vendors like DolltoChina have had to put notices on their site to warn users to be very careful with silicone dolls as they can tear easily. They also delaminate and require injecting with silicone glue to fix among other issues. They're more expensive because silicone is by far the more expensive raw material and takes a lot longer to cast. al is to look as real as possible as silicone is better for that.

If your goal is a soft doll for cuddling than TPE would make the most sense. If your goal is realism then silicone makes the most sense.

>Any silicone owners have trouble with this or is it just TPE dolls?

Silicone is even worse as its not quite as elastic. This was someone's Elsababe doll after he left her in a sitting position for too long.

Also silicone has a separate issue that can arise from posing, which is the silicone layer de-laminating from the foam core, which can happen when the doll sits for too long.
