By the way, while we're at it, I recently had such a sad dream. I came to Hinamizawa, when everyone should be old by now, everyone should be about 60-70+. I went to a house and Satoshi was sitting there with a child about 8 years old. I decided to talk to him and asked him where Shion was, and he started to say that she died about 40 years ago because of some fatal disease (natural, not a syndrome), so I asked him how and why it happened, and he said it was 40 years ago, when the "war with Takano" was over he got out of the coma and they got married with Shion and lived happily ever after, then the era of internet technology started (fuck the dates don't add up, i dont know why), Shion and Rena were friends at the time, they were best friends with her, computers just started appearing then. Rena had bought herself a PC and Shion was constantly sitting in it, literally squeezing the PC from her friend, so in the end she died from some fatal disease (probably not because of the PC but because she had some chronic illness), it's not specified. Satoshi goes on and on about how wonderful Shion was and how they had a serene and desirable marriage in the beginning, and generally describes Shion's personality in a way that makes me cry (in my sleep), and he says that he couldn't love anyone else for 40 years and lived every day thinking about Shion. Then he suggested we go with him to the cemetery, we went, and when we arrived, I saw Shion's grave and the date of life-death inscription, realized that she had lived only 23 years, cried again, but this time not only in the dream, but as if half in reality and instantly woke up, with real tears in my eyes.
The whole time it felt like everyone in the village was already dead and Satoshi was the only one alive, but it was unclear what kind of child was sitting in his house.
