I dislike conformity and it's completely hypocritical for /jp/ to take pride in not being like "normal" folks and then enforcing another setting of conformity anyways. The channel was set up without rules, where I didn't govern anything...including the mods. People should be free to say what they want to say, especially on the anonymous internets. This "fad" is pretty much the only reason I haven't changed it by now, because yes, as a matter of fact, I hate "losing".
