Vocaloids are a meta-software, meaning that anything produced by the fans, without endorsement from Crypton, are non-cannon, meaning that nearly everything is at the perception of the individual(mainly personality and family relations), the only canon things being their age, height, name and such.

BRS, however, has an author who can call the shots on what's cannon and what's not. By seeing over a TV-anime, I would think that makes it canon, no?
