No I think he's right about the makeup, zoom into the first image and you can see she's got her face caked up. But yeah, it's the wrong "color" and that makes it look like her face is crater-y from far away.
It's possibly an experiment, maybe just she isn't good at doing her own makeup, lots of celebrities aren't if you pay attention.
Hope we get cuter Aika back soon, though.
