There are various fan meetups for singular botes. I happen to follow some artists and that's how I know of the Housho fan meetup. I think this is the 3rd year they've done it? Can't remember exactly.

It's like a mini comiket basically. They rent out a small floor space to setup booths and sell their stuff, and also some banquet area to get drunk and eat.
I'm pretty sure most of these attendees are office ladies and actual moms. Houshou appears to have wide fan appeal.
