/jp/, I have a confession to make: I think I might be in love with Sonozaki Mion.
There hasn't been a single day in the last year on which I didn't think about Mion at least once. Since I finished the visual novel I've been pondering her character day in and day out, and now came to the conclusion that it must be love.
I don't feel the same kind of affection towards any of the other girls (or boys) and tried to reason it out at first. The thing is though, there's objectively no reason to prefer any other Higurashi character over Mion, so that turned out as useless.
Think about it.

Mion is cuter, more girlish and emotionally stronger than Rena.
Mion's love is fiercer and healthier than Shion's.
Mion's tomboy persona is better than Satoko's, and her wonderful tomboy breasts are more beautifully developed.
Mion has a harsher burden on her shoulders than Rika, and takes it with pride instead of passive aggressive lethargy.

There, I just proved that Mion beats every other Higurashi girl in their respective "moe points" and still has plenty of individual strenghts going for her, like her lewdity, her incredible humor or her superb cooking skills.
Anyone else had this kind of experience while reading Higurashi?
