It helps if the item is handmade rather than mass produced, and if it remains in at least occasional use over the first 100 years. So presumably weapons like the Jaivana and the Dardanelles gun could become tsukumogami.

For small arms, not sure. Don't know if the requirements rule out items with primarily moving parts, items that require regular disassembly for cleaning or items that include expendable components.
