What is more important to you? Finishing up a series or keeping up with the latest news and novels? I look at Light Novels the same way I do with Anime and Visual Novels. The old classics might be great but no one is talking about them, making it a very solitary experience. The latest stuff might not be the best but there is active conversation, speculation, and discourse. Cowboy bebop might be better than konosuba but no one is willing to discuss an old show when the fresh new hotness is out.
