>You should be fine as long as you use a voltage converter
I thought that would only be necessary if I use the Japanese charger the system came with. That one doesn't even fit into the outlets we have here. Anyway, it turns out my European-bought DSi charger works just fine with the 3DS, no explosions or anything.

As for the system itself - my mind exploded when I saw the 3D effect for the first time. Keep in mind that I have never seen a 3D-capable display before in my life, so I can't judge how it compares to 3DTV etc.; all I can say is that it blew me away. Before I got the device, I read about people feeling ill after playing with the 3DS for an extended period of time, but after messing with the pre-installled software and playing Layton for about 2 hours, I felt neither nauseous nor tired. The only complaint I have is the placement of the stylus, but apart from that, I couldn't be happier with the system. I'd even go as far as to say that this was the best handheld purchase I've ever made, but it might be a bit too early for that.

Now I gotta take a look at those .mpo gravure pics of Amano Ai.
