No fuck ups, surprisingly. The mask seller may or may not have known english, I could get by pretty well with a translator, and alipay support can do english if you ask. The problem is a) the website is a nightmare to navigate without knowing Chinese, even with the guide, and b) Alipay makes foreigners submit a passport. Definitely to curb fraud and definitely not to mine data and train state-sponsored facial recognition.
Just use an agent.

Not sure what you mean. It used to be that /jp/ was so slow that a thread would last for over a month no problem. They've been more active recently because they need to be bumped more often to keep them from falling off the board. It's better today than it was pre-/vt/, but it's not like it was years ago.
