TE was one my biggest motivations (Bururaji being another) to learn Japan few years ago, but since it only happens for 8 episodes a year, it doesn't hold that special place in my heart now that I can listen to Umasugi WAVE (weekly, about 40 minutes) and Anigera (biweekly, 60 minutes).

That being said, it's still a great show. Sugita and Nakamura's chemistry is really extraordinary, even among guys who have been friends for almost 15 years.

Tokyo Encounter was actually the main reason I took up Japanese classes at an university.
Despite dropping out, I have no regrets.
